Ventnor is one of the UK’s most fashionable seaside resorts. It offers good old-fashioned beach fun with an attractive esplanade, with arcade, cafes and ice cream shops. It is also home to the magnificent Botanic gardens, which lead down to the traffic free and very quaint, Steephill Cove. The upper part of the town is devoted to the main shopping area where time seems to have stood still, with independent stores dominating your shopping experience.
There are plenty of places for a wonderful day out on the Isle of Wight. For the young adventurers amongst you, Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill, provide some old fashioned adventure park fun. Or perhaps a trip to one of the many working farms or a boat trip might be more your kind of thing. For the more mature tastes, there are wonderful coastal walks, pretty gardens and historic buildings to visit.
The Isle of Wight is a food lover’s paradise and no where more so than Ventnor. Ventnor boasts the only Michelin starred Restaurant on the Island, The Hamborough, which is a three minute stroll from the house. If cosy cafes rather are more your style then there are plenty of these too! See our helpful links page for more information about the wonderful food experiences the Island has to offer.
